Thanks to the ever so wonderful Dora The Explorer and her friend Boots, Moon Baby has learned to count to ten in spanish!

MB: Hola Mommy, that means hello.

ME: Oh Wow! Where did you learn that from baby? Thats really good.

MB: Dora told me.

ME: Oh, I see. What else has Dora taught you?

MB: Eye dee Os, that means goodbye!

ME: Oh Adios. Thats great!

MB: And I can count Mommy. All the way to diaz!

ME: All the way to ten? Ok, lets hear.

MB: Muno, Dos, Gleis, Glaco, Cinco, Seis, Siete, Ocho, Nueva, Diaz!!!

ME: (Trying not to burst out in laughter!) Thats great baby girl!

Awwww...That's really cute!My 3yo. loves Dora,Boots and Diego too.

It's funny that some people don't see the value in having their children exposed to other languages. There's a couple I have met that basically believes Dora The Explorer is somehow promoting politically the concept of multiple languages for immigrants to this country; therefore, Dora is banned in this couple's house because America should be an English-only country.

The irony: Their little one learned some Spanish at the daycare she attended.

If you're shaking your head, laughing, then you feel me on this one.

LOL...and you have no idea how easy it will make it for her in school! My kids learned that early, and now they are close to being bilingual! It's very cool!

Too cute...I love her "version" of the numbers! LOL

It is even stranger when little ones HERE speak in Spanish because NZ doesn't really have a spainish speaking community lol.
My little one loves dora and diego too.
